– The celebration night of the 25th Anniversary of the 1990 IFC Final versus St Josephs took place in the Naomh Malachi clubrooms on Saturday last. A good night was had by all.

– The beginning of the new school year Mass was recently celebrated in the school by Fr. King.
– Garda Frank gave talk to Senior classes providing an overview for the forthcoming year.
– Bird of Prey live exhibit of owls and kestrel in school.
– Irish Defence Forces presented the National Flag to school plus copy of proclamation as part of Ireland 2016 Centenary Programme.
– We remembered those who suffered loss in The Great Famine with a minutes silence.
– The Principal of St Louis gave an information talk to our senior girls, while past pupil, Michael Woods also gave a talk to all seniors on Coláiste Lú.
– We recently planted a Hazel Tree, while all junior children planted chestnut trees from seed.
– The school looks great for Halloween with the children busy planning pumpkin designs and costumes for festivities.

Shelagh Youth Club
– The Over 9s club has recommenced with its 1st trip on Friday 9th October to the new sports hall in the recently opened Culloville Community Centre. For enquires on the over 9s club contact Blinne on 0877833592.

Naomh Malachi CLG
– The celebration night of the 25th Anniversary of the 1990 IFC Final versus St Josephs took place in the clubrooms on Saturday night. A DVD of the final was played on the big screen. A good night was had by all even if we couldn’t change the result! A big shout out to Michael Mee who traveled all the way over from Galway to be with us on the night and told many a good story about his times with the club in the late 80s and throughout the 90s. Also, a big thank you to Dermot Woods who done a fine job on MC’ing on the night.

– Question of Sport Fancy Dress/Halloween Party will take place in the clubrooms on the 31st of October. Four teams of three people are required. Anyone who would like to enter a team, please contact Aine on 0879360723.
