– Condolences are extended to the Rogers family on the recent passing of Packie in his 97th year. Ar dhes Dé go raibh a anam.
– Congratulations to Eamonn Murphy and Tara Tumilty on their recent marriage. Best wishes on your future life together.
– A huge thank you to all who made the vintage day in Rassan a big success in spite of very wet conditions. Cara Cancer Centre are delighted to have received €2500 due to the generosity of all who supported the event. Thank you to all participants, stewards, Crossmaglen Fire Service, Local Safety Groups and all who helped with food on the day.The efforts of the young people who sold tickets and ran the tuck shop on the day were greatly appreciated. There was a great line up of music from Thirteen Inches, The Willing Fools, The Fuzzy Burgers and Pearse Larkin. Thank you to Declan Campbell for organising such a great days entertainment.  Thank you to Conor Byrne for the Stage. John Glen hosted the awards ceremony. The following were the prize winners. Mick Daly Memorial Award for best restored tractor- Shane O’Neill. Charlie McElroy Memorial Award for best original tractor- Gene Fee. Kitty & Mickey Begley Memorial Award for most experienced driver- Paddy Lawless. Jimmy O’Callaghan Memorial Award for best young driver- Sean Begley. Paddy McCoy Memorial Award for best vintage car-Gerry Keenan. Thanks to Jimmy and Phil Gorman for judging and to all families who sponsored prizes. A big attraction was the 100 year old ‘Ransomes’ threshing mill originally owned by Rowntrees, Kingscourt and now by the Connolly Family, Lough Egish. It was a wonderful sight to see in operation. Pat Quigley’s restored 1930s ‘McCormick’ Binder, Eamon McAleenan’s 1911 ‘McLaren’ Steam Engine and Lisdoonan Heritage Club’s Cottage were also talking points on the day. Thanks to all businesses who sponsored and donated -The Bridge House Tullamore, Savages Bakery, McNamees Bakery, McNamees Butchers, McArdle Meats, Armstongs Centra, Donnelly Day Today, Devlins, Crevan Leneghan, P.J Duffy Lift Hire, Francie  Mc Bride, Watters Electrical, Ecological Bins, Eamon Begley Bicycles, Daltech, David Casey, Magees, Blaney Hire, Shorts Hire, Callans, Cross Square Hotel, Watters Shop, Car-L-Parts, Anne Meegan, Mona McEntee, Caseys, O’Neills Nisa, Mortons Fruit and Veg, Irish Country quads, Byrne and Maguire, Valuland and Cross Castles, Kindlon Castles Inniskeen, Shane Donnelly Transport, McKeown Generator Hire Inniskeen,  and Raymond Mackin. If anybody has been missed unintentionally sincere apologies. It was a day to remember and enjoyed by all who attended.
– Ciorcal Comhra has made a welcome return every Thursday evening in the Naomh Malachi clubrooms at 8pm. All are welcome to attend.
– Congratulations to Eamonn and Gemma Moley on the birth of their baby boy, Rhys.
Caoga: The Naomh Malachi Story documentary will go on sale in the month of November. Details of the launch night will appear in next week’s newspaper editions.

– Best wishes to all associated with Rachael’s Room Preschool and After School: For any questions/queries about the school please contact Rachael Conlon on 0858439618 or by email rachaelsroomdlk@gmail.com. A massive addition to our community and we thank everyone for your support.
– The staff and pupils celebrated a lovely Beginning of Year School Mass on September 28th. Thank you Fr. McKinney and to all who participated and attended.
– We had our school photos taken recently.  All the pupils looked very smart, proof to follow soon!
– GAA training continues with Séan for the senior children.  They are really enjoying it.
– We are looking forward to Maths Week, 17th – 21st October.  Time to get those brains working!
– We have decorated our school with ghosts and goblins, pumpkins and witches!
– School closes for Halloween at 12.30pm on 28th October and reopen on 07th November.

– Congratulations to the Naomh Malachi/Kilkerley Emmets/St Mochtas U18 and U14 teams who both secured league silverware recently. Well done to all involved.

– Naomh Malachi Nominations night for our AGM will take place on Friday, November 4th in the clubrooms at 9pm. Please submit your nominations and/or motions to Eddie beforehand. Our AGM will take place on Sunday, November 20th at 6pm.
– Lotto 16-OCT: Jackpot €7500. Winning numbers: 4,11,12,13. No winner. Match x3 winner: Kevin Hamill c/o Packie Gogarty receives €100. Next lotto draw on 30-OCT. Thank you for your continued support.
