Shelagh News
– Ciorcal Comhrá – Conversational Irish group weekly meetings continue in the Naomh Malachi clubrooms on Thursday evenings from 8pm. Beginners welcome. Contact Clare 042 9377137. Free. The local Conversational Irish group is holding a Gathering for Seachtain na Gaeilge upstairs in Naomh Malachi clubrooms on Friday, March 13th. Traditional Irish music session from 8.30pm. Light refreshments served. Doors and bar open from 8pm. All welcome. Bígí linn. Admission is free. Contact Clare for further details.

- Lourdes Dance (1963): A fundraising dance will take place in Naomh Malachi Clubrooms on Friday, March 6th. A great night of entertainment, with raffle and food, will be on offer. Over the years, many people have benefited from going to the Lourdes Shrine. If you know anyone who would like to go and who meets the criteria, please get in touch with a committee member. Please support this worthy cause.

- Congratulations to Micheal Murtagh (Annavackey) who has just reached a (lordy, lordy) milestone!

- Well done to those who took part in the Cycle Against Suicide Carlingford-Crossmaglen Spin-Off. Many thanks for supporting the cyclists en route and this very worthy cause.

Shelagh National School
– The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme provides a free year of early childhood care and education for children of pre-school age. The Department of Children and Youth Affairs stipulates that children are eligible for the ECCE scheme if they are aged over 3 years 2 months and less than 4 years 7 months on 1 September of the year that they will be starting. Any parents who would like to enrol or get information on the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) in Scoil Bhríde Shelagh and wish to seek information or enrolments for ECCE Pre school year, Sept 15/16/17. - Congratulations to our children who were confirmed on Saturday, February 28th: Eadaoin, Naoise, Florence, Darran, Karl, Oisin, Ryan and Matthew. Well done to Erin, Amy, Dearbhla and Rebecca who recently made their first confession.

Shelagh Youth Club
Tuesday: Drama – Unfortunately the Class is now full. Adult Zumba Class 8pm-9pm

Thursday: Kids Zumba class 6.30pm-7.30pm. The Club will be closed for the Mid term break on Thurs 19th.

Friday night club: Over 9s club every second Friday

Ladies Club
- Next meeting is on March 4th at 8.30pm in the Naomh Malachi clubrooms. Caroline McArdle will give a talk about aloe vera products. All welcome.

Naomh Malachi CLG
- Naomh Malachi produced a battling display in the last round of the Kevin Mullen Shield against the Sean McDermotts but came up short on a scoreline of 0-13:1-6 played in Mountrush.

- The Naomh Malachi players and management team are taking part in a ‘Grow It, Shave It, Bleach It, Wax It’ fundraiser. Grooming will take place on Saturday, March 7th in the clubrooms. Food and raffle, and music by Wayne Kirwan on the night. Sponsorship cards are available and all support is welcome. A donation will be made to the refurbishment of the IT room in Shelagh National School afterwards.
