Scoil Bhride Sealach – Shelagh Primary School
Scoil Bhride Sealach have successfully completed a Department of Education ‘Whole School Evaluation’.  The final report is now available on www.education.ie. The most commonly used grade is “satisfactory”. Scoil Bhride school standards, across the board, were affirmed as “very good”.  The teachers and Board of Management were also much humbled by the award of an “excellent”. The use of this word is rarely used in WSE reports. The school inspector explained to the school management that he requested this award as this was a true reflection of all the dedication and achievements of the teachers, pupils and parents. Throughout the inspection our school was described as “unique and excellent”.

The school atmosphere was described as “nurturing, fulfilling and respectful”.  Teaching methodologies are “engaging, vibrant, creative and stimulating”  Our school community “works cohesively and in a supportive  manner”. Scoil Bhride Sealach are very proud of our superb achievement.  Thank you and congratulations to all who supported us in our school community.

- This term, the Board of Management are planning a complete revamp of the school computer lab, which will supply the children of our parish with the latest IT equipment, in a fully dedicated computer lab.  Some additional fundraising will be needed to complete this project.  All support welcome and appreciated.  More details to follow.
