Shelagh News
– Ciorcal Comhrá – Conversational Irish group weekly meetings continue in the Naomh Malachi clubrooms on Thursday evenings from 8pm. Beginners welcome. Contact Claire 042 9377137. Free.

- Congratulations to Arlene Keenan and Gary Wilson on their recent engagement.

- The Cycle Against Suicide Spin-Off from Carlingford to Crossmaglen is expected to pass the Naomh Malachi clubrooms next Saturday, February 28th at 12.30pm. Please come out and show your support to the cyclists for this very worthy cause.

Shelagh National School
– PRE-SCHOOL IN Shelagh: The Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Scheme provides a free year of early childhood care and education for children of pre-school age. The Department of Children and Youth Affairs stipulates that children are eligible for the ECCE scheme if they are aged over 3 years 2 months and less than 4 years 7 months on 1 September of the year that they will be starting. Any parents who would like to enrol or get information on the Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE) in Scoil Bhríde Shelagh and wish to seek information or enrolments for ECCE Pre school year, Sept 15/16/17. - The Senior children got involved in Internet Safety Week. We all learned how to be “webwise”.

Shelagh Youth Club
Tuesday: Drama – Unfortunately the Class is now full. Adult Zumba Class 8pm-9pm

Thursday: Kids Zumba class 6.30pm-7.30pm. The Club will be closed for the Mid term break on Thurs 19th.

Friday night club: Over 9s club every second Friday

Ladies Club
Sympathy is expressed to Patty McArdle on the recent death of her brother, to the Begley family on the recent death of Kitty’s sister, and to Kieran Cowan on the recent death of his father.

- Next meeting is on March 4th at 8.30pm in the Naomh Malachi clubrooms. Caroline McArdle will give a talk about aloe vera products. All welcome.

Naomh Malachi CLG
- Naomh Malachi suffered an agonising defeat in Rathmullen on Sunday last, after St Nicholas scored a last minute goal to claim a two-point victory. We are on the road again to take on the Sean McDermotts in the final round of the Kevin Mullen Shield on Sunday morning, March 1st at 10.30am. All support is gratefully appreciated.

- The Naomh Malachi players and management team are taking part in a ‘Grow It, Shave It, Bleach It, Wax It’ fundraiser. Grooming will take place on Saturday, March 7th in the clubrooms. Food, raffle and music on the night. Sponsorship cards are available and all support is welcome. A donation will be made to a charity afterwards.

- Mass for deceased members takes place in the Sacred Heart Church, Shelagh on Wednesday February 25th at 8pm.
